I will not hold my tongue because you have no wish to hear me. I will not choke down my opinions because you disagree with them. I will not revert to the timid child I once was to placate you. I will not change for you. I will not be silent. I will not be the doll to your dollhouse.

I am not here to please you

So has anyone figured out the symbolism behind the lyrics “Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah….” or

I don’t know if you’re serious, but I think those lyrics actually are meaningful in the context of the scene. You know the teachers on Peanuts where everything they said just came out waaah waaah waaaah? In the scene, the teachers are droning on to Melchior and not letting him get a word in edgewise and in his inner monologue via the song he is mocking them. It might be hard to catch, but in the middle of the song they can actually be seen talking to him but we only hear his mimicking blah blah blah blah blah blah blah

So at the end of the song, it’s really just the epitome of the bullshit Melchior has had to listen to throughout his time in school and he has no power whatsoever to do anything about it, so the song just devolves into chaos, a fantasy representation of all of the pent-up frustration and contempt for authority the kids have as they leap around screaming blah blah blah… a complete opposite of the orderly behavior and long-winded doublespeak that is going on in the actual “real life” scene the song is paired with.

What I love about the end of this scene is the “blahs” are identical in nearly every translation of the show (the only variation I’ve seen is, ironic for my gif usage, Japan, which uses some other word that must be equivalent in Japanese culture). The feelings this song is trying to express are pretty universal.

Heather felt dizzy.

She knew she was still a little bit drunk, and exhausted after a sleepless night full of activity, but it didn’t stop her from walking. She had been walking for a while now.
